Direcciónes ( 7th grade)

In class we are learning to ask for directions in Spanish. Students will be creating a conversation and presenting it to the class. We will also have a quiz next week on how to ask for directions. If you have any questions please feel free to ask, take care!!

Árbol de Familia ( 6th grade)

Hola!!! This week in Spanish we will be learning about our familia, family. We will learn how to identify our familia. We will also be creating an Árbol de familia, family tree. I have asked your children to bring a picture of the family. They will also present the Arbol de Familia to the class and they must say in spanish:

Ella es mi.. ( she is my..)

El es mi... ( he is my.._

They mention the family member for example

Ella es mi madre

El es mi padre

Ella es mi hermana ect..

Ordenar Comida 9th grade

This week in class we will be learning Ordenar Comida ( how to order food). Students will be creating a menu, from a Spanish speaking country. They will also create a conversation in Spanish, someone ordering food at a restaurant. If you have any questions please feel free to ask, thanks!!

Ordinal Numbers ( 8th Grade)

In class we are learning Ordinal Numbers, and students will be writing a story using the ordinal numbers in Spanish. They then will present the story to the class and read the story. This is worth 1 grade, a combination of the story and the oral report. If you have any questions about this projects please feel free to ask me.

Welcome!!! My name is Mrs. Alice Ortiz and I am your child's Spanish Teacher. I moved from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, located in the Caribbean. I have been married for 7 years with my husband Alex. I have been teaching for 2 wonderful years but this is my first year teaching Middle and High School Level. I am happy to be teaching your child and eager to teach them the beautiful language that Spanish is. In class we will be working on a lot of projects and especially a lot of Oral Reports. We have to get the kids speaking the language so they can become fluent.
